Diponkor Bala is currently working as Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, City University. His hometown is in Magura district. He completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Islamic University, Kushtia-7003, Bangladesh, and his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Islamic University, Kushtia-7003, Bangladesh. He worked as a research assistant in the department of Computer Science and Engineering from 2022 to 2023. He has hand-to-hand work experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and high-performance computing. In both his bachelor's and master's theses, he used machine learning and deep learning on signal and biomedical imaging. He has already published several journal papers in highly reputed international journals. He also published several conference papers at IEEE-based national and international conferences. He received the second-best paper award from the IEEE Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation (IATMSI) hosted by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), ABV-IIITM Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He also completed a 200 hours professional training on Skill Development for Mobile Game & Application Project organized by the ICT Division of Bangladesh. He is also a member of the International Association of Engineers. Moreover, he has good analytical skills and also a piece of good knowledge of Python, MATLAB, and C programming languages. His area of research is basically focused on machine learning and deep learning. His current research interests are in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Signal Processing, Computer Vision, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, and Explainable AI.
