Short Introduction

Md. Nuzrul Islam has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at City University since February 2020. Prior to this, he worked as a Junior Engineer at SMEC Bangladesh. He earned his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering from UAP in October 2019. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structural) at BUET. His undergraduate thesis, titled “Behavior of Steel and Reinforced Concrete under Reversible Load,” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Anam. His current research focuses on the seismic behavior of steel and reinforced concrete structures, including recycled concrete and finite element modeling (FEM). Md. Nuzrul Islam is also a lifetime member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

Teaching experience

Md.  Nuzrul  Islam  joined  the  Department  of  Civil  Engineering  at  City  University  as  a  Lecturer  in  February  2020  and  is  currently  serving  in  that  role.  He  has  accumulated  five  years  of  experience  in  promoting  a  high-quality  teaching  and  learning  environment,  helping  students  develop  their  knowledge  and  skills  in  Civil  Engineering.
